 About The Phenomenal Women Yahoo Group:
I have been a member of the group for several months now and have been blown away by the caring nature of the women and supportive atmosphere of the group. This group of women bypass and totally wipe out the preconceived notion that one has in mind whenever one thinks of a group of women. These women have been supportive in a literal sense, and not just via lip service.
At my first book signing in New York, not only did a few of the women show up... they also handed out bookmarks with zeal and enthusiasm, in the rain no less. After meeting up for their lunch, they brought me back some as well. This so warmed my heart ... (not just the food) that I was overwhelmed that on such short acquaintance they were showing a level of support that people I had known for years were not exhibiting.
This is one of the reasons that I stand behind friendships I have made and champion the cause of online dating. I've found that the "unreal people" of the online world, have been far more supportive than the real people in the "real world" (except for family of course... LOL).
So if you've been on the lookout for a place of sisterhood, comaraderie and upliftment... I encourage you to give The Phenomenal Women a try. (And no... they didn't pay me to write this... LOL).
